The Parents Prized Possesion

Back in 1980 or so, my dad bought a half acre lot in East Layton. He planted pine trees and maple trees and what not in the yard. He didn't even start building until 3 years later. Well the power company came by a month ago and chopped the pine trees down because they were getting pretty close to the power line running along their back property line. My parents built a waterfall years a go in front of 4 of the pine tress. It looked perfect then, now it just doesn't make sense. It looks like we built the falls in the middle of the yard. Well the power company chopped all of the pine trees down except one because it wasn't a problem. And I'll tell you, it sticks out like a sore thumb. Because the pine tree next to it was so close, the east side of the tree doesn't exist. It looks bad. We'll I didn't think I made that big of a fuss about it, but yesterday mom said that they took a vote and the tree is coming down. Now dad is going around calling everyone a tree killer. But I think they will be happy in the long run, cause now they will have all the new trees at the same age and growth stage. I will get pictures from Joeys camera.
